Milos is a volcanic island of outstanding natural beauty and special geology, serene and tranquil, the wildest and least visited; a hidden treasure of the Aegean Sea.
A 30-minute flight from Athens, and two hours and 15 minutes by boat from Santorini, Milos is a big island with charming villages, wonderful archaeological sites, solitary beaches, a turquoise sea to discover on board our boat, and uncrowded.
We will find early Christian catacombs, Byzantine ruins, an amphitheatre of the Hellenic age facing the sea, villages like Plaka or Polonia to walk around, and eat in its restaurants’ terraces under roofs of bourganvilla and curious geological formations.
We will taste local wines typical of Milos, visiting a traditional winery on the island located in an impressive cave; we can observe the process of cheesemaking, see the hidden coves of Milos from the sea, and, with an expert historian, witness the history of the island, walking through the numerous ruins.
