This route was devised by pilgrims back in the Middle Ages, to avoid any possible conflict by having to cross Arab territory.
Its great attraction is the landscape, since much of the route follows the coast between towering mountains and the Cantabrian literal.
For 10 days we will experience the beauty of hidden Northern Spain: San Sebastian and Palacios, the charming fishing village of Hondarribia, where we go out on a tuna boat; lunch in gastronomic societies and seeing where cider is made; we do wine and cheese tastings, visit museums opened only for us; tour Bilbao by bicycle. We admire the Altamira Museum, the “Sistine Chapel” of the quaternary and the cave “El Soplao”; Cangas de Onis and Covadonga Basilica of Santa Maria del Naranco, Oviedo Cathedral, the Roman wall of Lugo and finally Santiago de Compostela and its impressive cathedral!!!
We stay in charming hotels, and will have the good fortune to dine at palaces and stately homes along the way.
